LR-TDV8 4.4 Litre Diesel Engine
The new LR-TDV8 Diesel 4.4 litre engine is The Range Rover’s most powerful ever diesel engine and, with its new, faster eight-speed automatic transmission incorporating Drive Select with Paddle Shift as standard, provides new levels of refinement and better fuel economy.
The new LR-TDV8 uses advanced technologies, including parallel sequential turbocharging. This works with the new transmission to improve economy by 18 percent and lower CO2 emissions from 294 to 253g/km while making increases in the breadth and delivery of instantaneous power and torque. The result is 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds and the availability of 700Nm of torque all the way from 1,500 to 3,350rpm. Ceramic glow plugs improve combustion efficiency and effectively provide Press & Go start up.
