PowerShift transmission
Ford PowerShift delivers a premium experience for driving enthusiasts. Featuring a new state-of-the-art six-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission, it cleverly selects the next appropriate gear at exactly the right moment, delivering lightning-fast gear changes with no disruption to the flow of power.

You’ll also enjoy improved fuel economy compared to a conventional automatic. As well as maximum efficiency and fuel consumption, Ford PowerShift has a sport mode that allows you to switch gears at the flick of the gearshift but without the need to engage a clutch pedal.

Ford EcoBoost engine
You can choose the new generation of high-efficiency EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines for the new Mondeo, as a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre version. Both deliver better performance with more torque at all engine speeds while reducing CO2 emissions and improving fuel efficiency.
The new 1.6-litre 160 PS EcoBoost petrol engine gives CO2 emissions of only 158 g/km. Its direct injection, variable valve timing and turbocharging technology give the performance of a larger engine with the fuel economy and lower CO2 benefits of a smaller engine. The higher performance 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine delivers 203 PS, with fuel consumption of only36.7mpg (combined). With no compromise to driving enjoyment, 203PS has CO2 emissions of just 179 g/km.

Ford Duratorq diesel technology
Our diesel engines use the latest advanced technology to combine performance with outstanding fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
The significantly improved 2.0-litre 163 PS Duratorq TDCi diesel engine delivers smooth, quiet and highly efficient performance with emissions of just 139 g/km for the manual transmission variantEquipped with the innovative PowerShift dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission, CO2 emissions are only 149 g/km which is a significant improvement compared to a conventional automatic.

Ford Premium Sound System

Interior design
The carefully considered new centre console features graceful curves and higher specification materials that integrate beautifully with a clean, high quality finish. LED rear lights

Air quality sensor
When external air pollution is detected, the sensor automatically switches the air conditioning to recirculation mode, and switches back when air quality improves.

Acoustic windscreen
A specially developed acoustic vinyl is set between two layers of glass in the windscreen to reduce noise levels. A quieter interior gives more clarity to conversation, music or your valuable thinking time.

Power Child Locks
This innovative feature improves safety for the whole family. At the click of a button, you can safely secure your precious backseat passengers by preventing them from opening doors from the inside.

Blind Spot Information System
This clever visual alert is designed to make long journeys a more relaxing experience. As another vehicle enters the blind spot area on either side of your Mondeo, the radar system alerts you with a discreet warning lamp in the corresponding door mirror. (Option)

Adjustable Speed Limiter
This new system integrates with cruise control, working with simplicity to keep you within your pre-determined speed limit. An ergonomically placed switch on the steering wheel lets you adjust your top speed limit and provides peace of mind you will not exceed this – particularly useful when travelling in speed camera areas. The system can be deliberately deactivated by cancelling the function or sharply depressing the accelerator pedal should the need arise.

Ford Easy Fuel
People often mistakenly add diesel to their petrol tank or vice versa, which usually results in costly repairs. Ford Easy Fuel is a capless refuelling system with a clever mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzles used for petrol and diesel. So you’ll never put the wrong fuel in.

Overhead console
The new central overhead console, with integrated switches and ambient lighting, accentuates the contemporary, purposeful cabin. Plus, it's the ideal place to stow your sunglasses.

LED daytime running lights
Offering increased visibility to other road users, the new LED daytime running lights are typical of the attention to detail to be found throughout Mondeo. This stylish design detail is also more energy efficient than dipped headlights due to its use of the latest LED technology.

Lane Departure Warning
Using an ingenious forward-facing camera this tactile and visual alert triggers when the driver changes lanes without indicating. Three short vibrations are sent through the steering wheel, while a warning light is displayed in the instrument cluster. (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs).

Auto High Beam
Switches the headlights from high beam to low beam as soon as the system detects oncoming traffic or a pre-defined lighting level. Conversely, it detects the road is clear before automatically switching back to high beam. (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs).

Driver Alert
Continuously analyses the driver's level of vigilance by assessing direction of travel and vehicle behavior. When the system calculates the driver's attention falls below a certain level, it will display a 'take a break' message in the instrument cluster. If it detects a more sudden loss of attention, such as drifting across a lane, a warning chime and additional visual alerts warn the driver (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs).

Touchscreen Navigation PLUS system
The crown jewel in the centre console, this system is the ultimate in navigation, connectivity and touch-screen convenience and clarity. Being an integrated system, it responds to real-time road speed and the latest traffic conditions to deliver more accurate estimated arrival times and trip information.
